Bellingham Marine has manufactured and installed more attenuators than any other company. Its attenuators have protected more marinas worldwide than any other system.
Based on the successful Unifloat® design, the Unifloat® attenuator is a floating breakwater, designed to significantly reduce wave agitation inside the harbor.
The system has a low environmental impact because it doesn't interfere with the circulation of ocean currents or make large changes in the marine ecosystem. Bellingham's floating breakwaters are visually unobtrusive and do not deteriorate the seabed like conventional systems can.
Unifloat® attenuators are multipurpose. They can be used for temporary mooring, for public access and recreation (fishing, bike riding, walking, etc.) and as a floating barrier to eliminate waterborne trash from waterways.
Unifloat® attenuators are individually designed to specific site conditions including wind, waves, wakes and transmitted wave criteria.
The inherent mass of the floating concrete Unifloat® system along with a variety of interconnection systems makes it a natural choice for wave attenuation.
