Puerto José Banús has awarded C.M.Ferrer, Bellingham Marine licensee in Europe, a design & build contract for the construction of 6 and 7 Piers at Puerto Banús Marina, located in Marbella, Spain.
The phase 1 of the project consists of over 300 lineal meters of new concrete pontoons. The pontoons will be manufactured out of C.M.Ferrer’s plant in Sant Feliu de Buixalleu (Girona) Spain. The production has started on October and delivery expected to commence in January 2023.
The design & build contract requires C.M.Ferrer/Bellingham Marine to provide the pontoon design and perform all the installation.
C.M.Ferrer/Bellingham Marine is pleased to announce it will be using Fibre Reinforced Polymer through rods with glass filled nylon nuts developed by Bellingham Marine, offering a longer life span and reduced maintenance over time.
The new berths will help meet an existing demand for a variety of vessel, increasing the comfort when mooring, as well as all the other advantages of floating pontoons vs fix ones.
